Description
The Impact Hackathon is a week-long online program designed to equip, enable, and empower innovative digital solutions in the form of a hackathon, aimed to create a prototype and design new solutions that have the potential to solve challenges within the food & agriculture, health, climate change, smart cities, and education sectors. Included in the program are learning sessions with mentors, industry experts, and community partners, as well as an incubation program for the winners of the hackathon.
Respectable partners from private, government, and startup sectors come together to create an avenue for partners and sponsors to pose problems statements under the aforementioned verticals. Innovators such as students, professionals and scale-up startups are then to create digital solutions for these problems.
Applications are now open! Closing on August 17, 12:00PM, GMT +8.
WHY ARE WE HOSTING IMPACT HACKATHON ONLINE?
- Disrupt status-quo thinking and catalyze an inclusive entrepreneurial economy
- Digitize solutions to aid some of the country’s greatest problems
- Decentralize access and opportunities to truly promote urban and rural development
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The challenge invites individuals and teams of all ages given that attendees below 18 years old are required to have written consent of their legal guardians. Applicants should be based in the Philippines. - we are looking for diversity in gender, race, background, and types of experiences.
All that is required is an interest in developing solutions to the current problems of the country, and a commitment to participate fully throughout the Impact Hackathon Program.
WHAT'S THE PRIZE?
Top solutions receive $100,000 USD worth of support (financial and/or technical) towards furthering their idea and Certificate of Participation.
